The horse theater “Zaporizhski Cossacks” that is located on the Khortitsa Island has some unique folklore programs that consists of horse tricks, Cossacks’ games and musicians’ performances, such as bandura players’ ensembles, folk songs music bands etc.
This theater was established in the beginning of 90th and is rather recognizable among Zaporizhzhia residents as for now. Its unique feature is in unchanged format of performances, where important role gets improvisation and Ukrainian identity with beautiful national costumes and weapons’ models.
Also there are some additional attractions that are located nearby, such as horse riding service, souvenir shop and restaurant-museum, which is called “Cossacks’ pledge”, and all of that increases excitement with Ukrainian traditions!
The duration of horse theater’s performances may vary from 15 minutes to 1.5 hour and they have different themes, but most of them are focused on representation of Ukrainian history of the 20th century. Talking about entrance fees, adult ticket costs 100₴, but there are some discounts for kids, students and other groups of people.
